Breanna Carlson

Born in Minneapolis, Breanna Carlson left her Midwest roots to begin her professional career as an architect and designer in Los Angeles where she earned her Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Insititute of Architecture in 2002. Following graduate school she worked for LA-based architecture firms concentrating on residential and commercial projects in Southern California as well as retail stores in South America, Asia, and Africa for GUESS? Inc.

In 2004 she won a fellowship to teach and conduct post-graduate research at the International Institute of Architecture in Switzerland. She then taught furniture design and architecture courses in Denmark and Iceland before returning to the US and relocating to New York City. She worked at the itnernationally renowned firm Lewis. Tsurmaki. Lewis. Architects as a project manager on Urban Outfitters stores before starting her own design firm in 2006. She now practices as principal of her office, bSTUDIO in Manhattan design architectural and interior spaces as well as custom furniture.
